A Baloch resistance organization called the Anjuman Ittehad Marri has been renamed as the Baloch National Voice and will now work at the international levels in addition to Balochistan, according to a news item in the Daily Tawar newspaper.

In its first statement, the Baloch National Voice called parliamentary politics a "cancer" for Balochistan and declared that it will have a one-point agenda of securing independence for Balochistan.

The B.N.V. said, "The kill-and-dump policy where Baloch activists are made victims of enforced disapperance and their bodies dumped in desolate places is at its height in Balochistan."

The new party said in this time of trial, there is a need for raising Baloch voice in an effective manner at all levels.

It is most likely the party will draw its spiritual inspiration from Baba-i-Azadi Nawab Khair Bakhsh Marri, while his political heir apparent Hyrbyair Marri will be the main executive.

Hybyair Marri's wellwishers have long been asking him to launch a political party to carry on the work for an independent Balochistan.

Hyrbyair Marri is famed for his military-style discipline in political work.

The D.C.-based American Friends of Balochistan welcomed the launch of the new organization, adding that its formation was long overdue.
